Why the space theme?
ERYD was founded in Houston, Texas the Space City as we are the home to NASA. We look at each RYD as a way to explore the city! We have a home base and each location downtown is an outpost
Are these hard to ride?
No. In fact, they are very easy to ride. However, before your departure, your ERYD associated will make sure that you are 100% comfortable on the unit
How far can I go?
The units are designed to go between 30-45 miles on a single charge. This should give you plenty of time to see what you want to see. Total miles allowed will fluctuate based on the riders weight and the speed mode you are in.
How should I dress?
Being as we cannot predict the weather, we suggest that you use your own judgment. The only thing that is not permitted is open toe shoes or sandals. All riders must wear shoes.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24-hours advance notice from the time you booked your rental. There are no refunds for same day bookings. If you show up under the influence of drugs or alcohol you will NOT be permitted to ride and you will be charged the full price of the rental. No refunds.
What are your age requirements?
The minimum rider age is 15. If under the age of 18, the rider must be accompanied by an adult.
How fast do the units go?
The maximum speed of each unit ranges between 20-30 MPH
Where can I ride?
With the exception of taking the unit off road, you are free to ride wherever you wish as long as you obey all bicycle rules. If a sign is posted stating no bicycles allowed then this also applies to you.
What happens if I damage the unit?
Each rider is responsible for any damages to the unit while in the rider’s possession. Prior to the ride you will conduct an inspection of the unit and let your ERYD associate know of any damages that you may have found. You will also be provided the option, for an additional fee to purchase insurance that will cover the cost of any damage to the unit with the exception of theft.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. Each rider will be charged a $150.00 incidental deposit fee. This will not be charged to your card but an authorization to hold will be placed on the card.
